Gluten Free Eggless Jowar Jaggery Cookies are a haelthier version of the regular cookies packed with the benefits of Jowar and Jaggery. Naturally gluten free,jowar or Sorghum Millet is a great source of dietery fibre and protein and is apt for people following restricted diets.

  • Cup Measurement Size: 250 ml
  • Jowar flour (sorghum Millet flour)1 cup
  • cocoa powder 2tbsp
  • Soft Butter (or Oil) ½ cup
  • Jaggery Powder ½cup ( Can add less if you wish for lesser sweetness)
  • Baking Powder ¼ tsp
  • Baking Soda a pinch
  • Milk 3 to 4 tbsp (only if required)
  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees
  2. Line a baking tin with parchment paper
  3. In a bowl cream the jaggery powder and Butter with a hand blender
  4. Add the Jowar flour, cocoa powder,baking powder, baking soda and form a dough
  5. Add milk if the dough looks crumbly.It will come together as a dough.
  6. Cling wrap and and refrigerate the dough for half an hour
  7. Roll into small balls and flatten them slightly
  8. Place them on the baking tray lined with parchment paper leaving some gap in between each cookie dough
  9. Bake them for around 20 minutes
  10. Remove and let them cool.The cookies will harden
  11. Store in airtight containers
